Let Andreas Schneider entertain you with his expert knowledge of historic apple varieties, authentic cider culture and the story of the Schneider family. The tour ends in our apple wine tavern, where you will take a traditional and organic snack from local produce accompanied by one of our vintage apple wines.

THE EVENT
Before the tour begins, we invite you to excite your taste-buds with our "Hausschoppen mit echtem Speierling". After the delicious refreshment, the orchard owner, Andreas Schneider, will take you on a guided tour through his romantic apple groves and strawberry fields where he will share his knowledge on the culturing of fruit, the harvest, producing apple wine (vinification) and organic crops. 8500 fruit trees in 250 varieties are cultivated by the orchard team with much care and dedication. Depending on the time of the year and the season, you will also be able to nibble on Schneider's aromatic and organic fruit directly from the tree or bush – strawberries, black currants, sweet cherries, peaches, plums, pears, apples and wild fruit. With practical examples, Andreas Schneider demonstrates his apple wine and fruit philosophy and gives you some insight into the organic working strategy of the "Obsthof am Steinberg".
